I run a post directory on my site, and I'm seeing a growing quantity of articles being submitted, only for the backlink provided in the Resource Box. This is probably because of the growing variety of PLR articles and material that's becoming available.

Now, there's certainly not something wrong with this, I only believe that authors who are doing this are passing up on possible traffic and/or clients. Such reference boxes will only gain their site rankings in incoming links that are valued by any search engine. Be taught more about via by browsing our thought-provoking URL.

Is this a bad thing? No. Where they're losing out is as follows. For another way of interpreting this, please consider checking out: linklicious blackhatworld.

Much of the traffic to my post service comes from search engines, by people trying to find info on a certain topic. Today, this user types within their key words, presses o-n the search box, and is given a list of relevant sites. They selected one, and are taken up to the author's article. They read the article about, say, snowboarding, believe 'This is interesting' and go to the author's source box at the end of-the article to see what else they have to say on this issue. There, they look for a link to some site marketing portable ringtones. May be the audience planning to be impressed, or interested in this? Not so likely. They want to find out about snowboarding, maybe not personalize their phone. I really believe one of three things will happen then:

The reader leaves the whole site in disgust.

The viewer clicks on the link to a related article.

The viewer clicks on the related Google AdSense (or similar contextual promotion) offer.

They do not click the author's reference link. That is a possible client lost, quite probably permanently.

Yes, put a link in to your site in the reference package, but most article directories let several links, so for goodness sake put a link in that' ;s associated with the article subject too, and ultimately put it in first, before you lose the customer.

'But my site doesn't have anything to do with that matter on it'!

You can add something that does. Include a post directory, and have the reference package saying 'To learn more articles on this issue, click here.' Add a web service, and have the text say 'To view links to internet sites on this subject, click here.' Or just visit ClickBank, search for related jobs, and have a link to them, using the link saying something like 'If you want to learn more on this subject, obtain this product.' Preferably, not a direct url to the product, but a cloaked or redirected one.

Using this method, you still get that connect to your site that you were after actually, but, furthermore, you have the opportunity to generate income from your audience in a new way. A situation. Plus, you don't look like someone simply posting acquired information on any subject only for the benefit of the backlink it'll give you. A more professional look. Isn't it worth taking the time to make better use of the source box?. In the event people fancy to dig up further on purchase here, we know about many databases people should think about investigating.
